Congratulations, Scott & Erin!
When Scott Patterson proposed to his girlfriend last year, he never dreamed he would be able to see his bride when he said his wedding vows.
But, once he discovered eSight in February, he realized even though he is legally blind, seeing at his own wedding was possible. But, he needed the help of his family and friends to raise the funds and get his eyewear in time for his wedding in May.
Scott, who’s from Toronto, Ont., started fundraising immediately after he tried eSight, and he was overwhelmed with the support he received — in fact, he was able to raise the $15,000 in a week and a half!
“After I promoted my campaign on Facebook, people I hadn’t spoken to in years, like my former high-school and university colleagues, stepped up and came through for me,” Scott says. “I really didn’t expect to have my eSight for the wedding. I was delighted.”

Scott says he loved being able to sign his own registry, but the best part about having the eyewear was seeing his guests’ faces during the ceremony. “I looked for tears, but everyone was all smiles! They were a very happy bunch.”
