NFL fines player $75,000 over violent actions in recent game

NFL linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, was fined $75,000 after allegedly stomping on and hitting two separate players in a recent game. He avoided suspension, however. Burfict has already served a three-game suspension and accrued fines that exceed $279,000 for his on-field actions.

Jets to name new starting quarterback, Geno Smith

Smith will replace current Jets’ quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick has turned the position over to Smith after a series of devastating losses. Smith will start in the next game, facing the Baltimore Ravens.

NASCAR driver campaigns for Trump with new race car scheme

Austin Wayne Self will decorate his car with the Trump-Pence logo at an upcoming race. The race will take place at the Talladega Superspeedway. His car number is 22 and will also bear the patriotic colors.
