The magnificent Lao Tzu looks down upon us!
Lao Tzu was a contemporary of Confucius. Confucius was the originator of Buddhism and Lao originated Daoism. They actually met at one point. Oh, to be a fly on that wall!
The location for the Lao Tzu statue is said to be perfect according to feng shui. It is located in the valley between these two mountains. The are referred to The White Tiger (on the left) and The Green Dragon (on the right).
Temple guardians, including the dragon turtle again, who is carrying the monument on his back. Hard worker!
After visiting Lao Tzu, we took a short hike to a waterfall. Not much water flowing at this time of year, but beautiful anyways!
