POLICING BLACK BODIES

What our book does differently is interrogate the chronic and interlocking nature of the problem in two ways. First, by pointing to the vast array of ways in which Black bodies are policed including through mass incarceration, the prison industrial complex, and the school to prison pipeline. And, second by providing an historical context in which to locate the more recent tragedies that are being experienced by Black people at the hands of police officers and other members of the law enforcement and corrections communities.
