Anxiety is the primitive brain messin’ with the higher brain. It’s been with me my whole life. Something called “half-mantras” often work for me. When an anxious thought won’t let go, something like “People think I’m incompetent”, then I’ll recite the half-mantra, “But you know there are some who think you are quite capable, just as you recognize their capabilities”. Something like that. The higher brain telling primitive brain to stuff it.
