Yann, good points. One technique I use to avoid multitasking at all costs is to keep a list of ancillary tasks I discover along the way. That way I can stay focused on the task at hand. Later on, I can prioritize the found tasks and repeat that process. In this way I avoid the awful costs of context switching.
