Spiritual elitism
Jonas Ellison

Well said. Funny you say this about spirituality because I had the same thought recently about a lot of these “personal development” gurus who want to always preach BIGGER BETTER STRONGER HARDER FASTER NEXT LEVEL NEXT LEVEL and never seem to advocate for just taking in the moment because none of life is promised to us. If I’m always thinking about what I need to do next to “prepare for the future”, I’m never fully in the moment and concentrated on creating meaning and purpose NOW, not to mention I could die an hour from now. I would rather my legacy be about what I did to be joyful and loving with smaller accomplishments for myself and humanity than about what I was constantly “preparing for” in the future with no appreciation for the present — that’s kind of a gamble to me.
