Goddess Mahagauri is a beautiful form of Goddess worshipped on the eighth day of Navratri, and also she is the eighth form of Mahadevi.

According to devotees, she clears negative forces and thoughts and offers divine grace. She has four hands, in which two hands are there to give blessings to her devotees, while on the other two hands, she holds Trishul and Damru to kill the demons.

Her ornaments are white and pure and she rides on a Bull.

Day 8 of Navratri is also known as Maha-Ashtami and is considered very auspicious. This day holds a great significance among Hindus. On this day, all the eight forms of Mahadevi are worshipped and people do many rituals to seek blessings from Mahadevi. These eight forms of Mahadevi are :-

Brahmini, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Virahi, Nasinghi, Indrani, Chamunda.
