the frustrating point of all of this is the conflation of patriotism and sports and symbols. the national anthem was written by a man who was happy in the deaths of black americans fighting in the war of 1812-all the folks unware of our history need to stop criticizing other folks who are aware and colin is. since when do we put our hand over our hearts anyway? wasn’t this reserved for the pledge?
