曾經、大手牽著小手，翻騰在浪花與貝殼裡。
曾經、一片黃橙，庭院中花語滿地，
曾經、星空點點，夜色下輕搖椰影，
曾經、雅室小酌，性情中笑談人生，
也是曾經、餐廳草帽，樂聲裡的拉丁風情。

曾經、時空阻隔是東西兩岸、台美兩地；
如今、藍天碧海的沙灘上、你總在我的思念裡！

Dear Shu, We are so sorry to hear the sad news about Edward. We have been planning to visit San Diego in coming June, but didn’t know that Edward was ill. We are always thankful to you and Edward for inviting us to visit San Diego, and the hospitality that you gave us. The inspiration and the encouragement from Edward to me has made great connection between me and the poems since then. We feel sorry that the busy life in Taiwan has made us lost the connection with you. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Wish the peace will soon find you and ease the pain of the great loss.
