In China, as I observed during a recent visit, it’s normal to find people barking into their phones anywhere (from street sidewalks to trains to shuttles to elevators) when sending voice notes to their WeChat contacts. It’s only a matter of time before this becomes the new normal everywhere as scary as it may sound.
