I always had an urge for an upgrade on basically everything I own. Until I realized I could be saving the money Im using to get that micro-difference of performance for a tool that I dont yet have or investing it in something else.
I have one of those early 2010’s slim digital cameras that still works marvelously. It doesnt have an audio jack or audio recording capabilities so I almost committed to investing in an upgrade this week (for video taking purposes). I unearthed my 10 year old camcorder I got for my birthday in 6th grade. It hurts a bit to watch the videos taken on it, but it does give off a nice “vintage” vibe, (it hurts a lot more to say something that is only 10 yrs old is vintage) and has relatively good audio. So I saved what couldve been a $300 spending which is an unholy amount for a broke college student and maybe will invest a fraction of that into a smaller, okay-quality mic for the camcorder/other audio recording purposes later.
It works for me.
