Graham Hill

Graham Hill is the founder of TreeHugger and currently the CEO of LifeEdited, a project devoted to living well with less. He recalls how his parents encouraged his curious mind from an early age and its impact on his journey as an entrepreneur.

What is your favorite childhood memory? Hiking up the mountain with the family to a rocky outcrop with a great view and playing hide and go seek kinda games and having lunch.

What is the best investment your parents made in you/for you? Teaching/allowing me to be curious and to be confident in our ability to figure things out.

Did it impact your choice of your line of work that you do today and what has been the most rewarding part of it? Certainly helped me become an entrepreneur. The most rewarding part is feeling that you’ve changed the world in some small way for the better.

Who was your favorite superhero then and who is it now? Why? Spiderman then, I think. Now? Batman maybe? Powerful, cool, devoted to good yet complex person. Lots of cool gadgets.

What is the one piece of advice you would give a young person today? Get into the stuff you love and believe in yourself.

How do you hope to leave a better world for the future? I hope to help us live greener more socially progressive lives.

What is one experience you would like to gift to a child? The chance to do a sport.
