I have read one or two articles about Millenials being more responsible than the older generations. Whilst I do not entirely agree with that, Tillerson et al certainly enforces that idea. I really feel that politics, at least in the US, is dominated by self-serving old men, whose own interests seem to be the main reason for them being in politics. In the case of Trump and many of his cronies, including Tillerson, their own business activities have been supposedly put to one side, to allow them to govern without conflict of interest. It is becoming increasingly obvious that this is not the case and that job positioning appears to align with with self-interest.

Tillerson is Secretary of State and as such, is able to direct foreign policy to where the interests of the oil and gas industry are. Trump’s ever increasing liaisons with Putin echo his own interests in Russia and I don’t believe the self interest stops with those two individuals.
