Here’s a preview of a couple of the amazing women speaking at the event. Find additional speakers HERE and check back often for updates.

Dr. Simone Ahuja — Blood Orange & HBR

Dr. Simone Ahuja is the founder of Blood Orange, an innovation and strategy advisory firm. Headquartered in Minneapolis with global teams, Blood Orange has developed a fast and frugal innovation methodology that helps companies move from ideas to execution.

Dr. Ahuja is an HBR.org columnist and serves as an advisor to MIT’s Practical Impact Alliance. She has served as a consultant to the Centre for India & Global Business at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and as an associate Fellow for the Asia Society in New York City. Simone provides innovation and intrapreneurship keynotes, interactive labs and consulting services to organizations including 3M, Procter & Gamble, Target Corp, Medtronic, Stanley Black and Decker, and the World Economic Forum.

Her current book Jugaad Innovation argues that Western corporations can no longer just rely on the old formula that sustained innovation and growth for decades: a mix of top-down strategies, expensive R&D projects and rigid, highly structured innovation processes. Jugaad Innovation suggests that the West must look to places like India, China, and Africa for a new, bottom-up approach to frugal and flexible innovation.

Her forthcoming book on intrapreneurship, Disrupt-It-Yourself — Hacking the Corporation to Make it Fast, Fluid and Frugal, is due out in 2017.

Anna Mason — Revolution’s “Rise of the Rest”

Anna Mason is the Director of Investments for Rise of the Rest. Anna brings over 10 years of experience in finance, startup operations, and venture community programming to Rise of the Rest.

Revolution’s “Rise of the Rest” is a nationwide effort, headed by Steve Case, to work closely with entrepreneurs in emerging startup ecosystems. Their view is that this is the beginning of a new era for entrepreneurship across the U.S. — high-growth companies can now start and scale anywhere, not just in a few coastal cities.

Prior to joining Revolution, Anna served as the Co-Director of the Washington Chapter of The Vinetta Project, a North-American organization that helps early-stage female founders in tech access capital and network connections. Prior to that, she co-founded a fitness-community app that was acquired in 2015. Anna began her career on Wall Street, where she spent seven years as a bond trader, most recently as a Vice President at The Seaport Group.

Anna received her BA in Government from Harvard College and her MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. Anna is also a certified health coach and a published author. Her first novel, They All Fall Down, was published in September 2015.
