Yeah, that sounds really tough.

I’ve seen other companies get around something similar by starting a new codebase on the side and not migrating users over until the new thing gets through the checks and approvals. This frees developers to move quickly with new technology while giving them time to work on obtaining permission before launching. As the site becomes a reality, it also draws more attention and support making it harder to say no to.
