Xiaomi releases $330 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera

Xiaomi has released a 20-megapixel Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera.

It will be available via JD.com on Thursday at US$330, which is bundled with a 12–40mm f/3.5–5.6 lens. The camera also comes with a 42.5mm f/1.8 camera that cost at $$450.

Called M1, the camera which resembles Leica models, has a 20.16MP Sony IMX269 imaging sensor. It has a 4K video recording at 30fps and a maximum ISO of up to 25600 sensitivity The camera, which can produce a 50-megapixel photo, also has a raw mode.

M1, which is available in either black or silver, has a 3-inch, 720 x 480 touchscreen but does not come with a built-in flash or an electronic viewfinder.

The camera has Bluetooth and WiFi to enable the user to share or transfer the pictures to a smartphone or tablet.

Apparently, it will be made available in China first this Thursday and subsequently to other stores worldwide through its distributing partners. — by BP
