One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5, which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean to your own understanding.”

If believers could grasp the amazing wisdom and insight this verse reveals to us and establish that truth in their hearts as a foundational truth in how they relate to God, I believe they would experience an abundance of peace and joy in their lives.

What does it mean to “Trust in the Lord”?

What does it mean to “Trust in the Lord”? It simply means to believe without doubting in your heart or questioning His Word and the promises He has provided for us as believers to live and walk in. Additionally, it means we should trust in how He sees and treats us ‪24/7‬.

The apostle Paul makes a powerful statement in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

All the promises God ever made are for us; the word “amen” simply means “So be it!”

God isn’t withholding any promises from us but wants us to walk in their reality. That will take trust/faith in His Word and not leaning or trusting in your understanding.
