In Luke 15, we see the Prodigal Son feeling ashamed and guilt-ridden walking back home, while I assume he was repeatedly rehearsing in his mind what he would say to his father. He was hoping to get a job as a servant, knowing his sins disqualified him from ever being a son again. However, to his utter astonishment, his father ran to him with outstretched arms, embraced and kissed him…
