Glad You’re Gone

Every day I sat with my back to the window. I sat so I could see you. I purposefully placed the world behind me so that maybe, one day you could be my world. I gave up the stars so that maybe you could be the sun. but it was never to be. The earth was too big, there was too much out there that you had to see. But now that you’re gone, maybe I can see the earth too. I can face the window and see the crystal sky that was once your magnificent eyes. It pains me, knowing that we may never meet again. I’m glad you’re gone because now I’ll be the one to watch the sky burst into tears.
