I recently purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Decided to go all out. It hurt my wallet a little bit but it was definitely worth it. I love it. Especially since I upgraded from an 8 Plus. But, I wanted to hear what other people had to say about it.
I listened to a podcast by MKBHD , a famous tech reviewer, and his co-host. In one of his Waveform episodes they talk about Apple’s 2019 event and the products that were announced.
First spec they talk about is the triple cameras. The extra camera on the phone is for ultra-wide photos. I haven’t used this feature much yet. Just for fun but not to seriously capture landscapes. But it is an amazing feature to be able to zoom out further and capture more of the scenery.
Their next topic of discussion is battery life. They seem like they don’t really believe the estimated battery life Apple claims, which is always theoretical, but I do believe it. Coming from an iPhone 8 Plus, the difference is significant. I am on my phone all day (bad habit). And the battery lasts all day. Compared to my previous phone, it only lasted about half a day of serious use. Apple also included a USB-C to lightning charging cable which is great but should’ve been done from the moment Macbooks had only USB-C ports. Seems like a no-brainer but I guess it doesn’t really fit with Apple’s planned obsolete business model. The hosts weren’t really impressed with it but it is definitely better than the previous cable.
These were the main topics on the iPhone 11 Pro Max from the podcast. There are more features and specs. as expected but overall, it’s a great phone and I’m very satisfied with it.
