A lot of bashing of HR here. As an HR professional, I can assure you that complaining to HR isn’t a fast track to a meal ticket. I can also confirm that HR typically reports to the CEO and not the Board, which means it isn’t an independent entity. More often than not, we fight on behalf of the victim and end up hampering our own career in the process.
If HR isn’t responding as you’d hoped, that’s a leadership issue. Look long and hard at your CEO…..
