Kelly, I must say this piece had me in tears. I saw clips of the ceremony. I remember seeing Roger Staubach make the comment about his concussions and I remember seeing Goodell light up with laughter. I was so disturbed by it. As a former NFL player I couldn’t even comprehend the amount of disrespect this man was showing.

Thank you for sharing your family’s story. I have just recently retired and reading about what your father and your family went through post-football is heartbreaking.
