Apple Watch & the Internet-Augmented Brain
Max Deutsch

Check out this TED talk by David Eagleman on Sensory Addition. He’s developed a vest that translates data into dynamic patterns of vibration across the vest. It was originally developed to convert sound into vibration so that deaf people could feel the sonic world around them. He then realised it could work with other types of data…like real-time data from the internet (e.g. stock market data) or flight data for pilots. They even ran an automated sentiment analysis on their twitter hashtag during the talk and fed the data into the vest he was wearing!

“It’s a bigger experience than a human can normally have”

So I agree — if Apple could leverage this power with the watch’s “Vibration interface” the possibilities would be endless!
