- Reminders: If you create a Reminder from within NotePlan (macOS), it will create it inside Apple’s default Reminders app. They behave as expected and will send you a notification across all devices. Even if you don’t have NotePlan for iOS.
- There is no option to change the colors of the external calendars. NotePlan has its own set of colors for open, finished and scheduled points. Calendar events are all magenta and Reminders are red. If we sync also the colors of the calendar events, it might get too confusing?
- License: You have to purchase a macOS and an iOS license separately. You can use the macOS license across multiple Macs and the iOS license across multiple iDevices (iPhones and iPads).
- Calendar events and NotePlan todos are seperate. Calendar events (from all the calendars you see in Apple’s Calendar app) are synced into NotePlan and inside NotePlan you can add new ones, edit or delete existing. But you don’t attach notes to them. The notes are only visible inside NotePlan.
- No, it won’t identify natural language. This might be useful when creating an external calendar event, but NotePlan is not primarily for setting appointments. This might come in the future eventually.
