So you’ve decided to buy SALPay tokens. Congratulations for a fine decision! Now the problem is, you might be a bit confused about how to do this; the first time to participate in an ICO can be a bit daunting, or even frustrating… and that’s what this article is here for.

You have probably created an account in a page that looked like this:

Name, email, password, and prove that you are human (or any sentient life-form, really, we don’t discriminate)

After doing this part, you probably got a message that required you to confirm your email.

You received an email with a link to validate that, indeed, you wrote your email properly, so we can activate your account. By clicking on the link, you will be redirected to the Login page:

Login page

Log in with the email and password that you wrote before, and you will be ready to enter your Dashboard!

This is how the dashboard looks like:

Fill out your account overview completely

The dashboard has your account information and personal data at the top (name, email, address, phone number, country of residence, address and some document uploads), and instructions below on how to acquire SALPay Tokens.

The first step is to fill out your personal information and upload your documents. This is a way for us to secure your information and tie it to your accounts and contributions.

Note: the document upload can be done later, but should be done as soon as possible, and definitely before the end of the ICO.

Once you’ve updated your information, press “SUBMIT”.

The second step is to make sure that you have an Ethereum Wallet. You will need one because that’s where your SALPay Tokens will be stored (we can’t leave SALPay Tokens lying around… technologically speaking).

If you know your wallet address, you probably know what to do, so feel free to skip the next couple of paragraphs.

But if you don’t have one, then what? No problem! Creating an Ethereum Wallet is not only easy, but also free!

There are many services that create wallets online. For this guide, I’ll use MyEtherWallet. If you rather watch a video on how to create your ether wallet, check this one out! The site looks something like this:

Notice that the top-right dropdown says ETH

To create your own wallet, just type your password there, and make it a good one and one that you will definitely remember! After that, press “Create New Wallet”, and…

save your Keystore file! This is extremely important. It will be a file that will give you access to your wallet, so keep it VERY safe. If you lose it, you won’t be able to access it.

Then, press “I understand. Continue”. That will lead you to the next screen.z

Save your private key (that’s what that weird number is). It’s as important as the Keystore file. You can copy that number in a text file, or get a printout version, that looks like this:

The blurry bits are QR codes.

This printout version has your Wallet’s Address, and your Private Key. Lock it in a safe if you need to, but don’t lose it or share it with anyone.

Once you’re done with that, you can unlock your wallet.

There are many methods to access your wallet, we will use the Private Key, the one that we saved earlier.

Select Private Key, and then type or paste it. That will give you the option to unlock , with a big blue button. Press Unlock, and there you go! Your wallet is now ready to receive SALPay Tokens! The screen will display the Address, Private Key, and balance.

Now that you have a valid wallet, let’s go back to the SALPay site, and click on “Buy SALPay Tokens”. This button is located below the account information form.

That will lead you to the contribution page, where you will be able to choose if you want to buy SALPay Tokens with Ether (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), or fiat (USD). Fiat is just a fancy way to say “money backed by a government”.

— If you chose ETH, the same wallet that sends the ETH will receive the SALs.

You can see the amount of SALs that you would get for your contribution

Fill out, and click submit! You will then see where you should send your ETH contribution.

— If you chose BTC, then you will be asked for your BTC wallet address, and for the Ethereum wallet where you’d like to receive your SALs.

Fill out, and click submit! You will then see where you should send your BTC contribution.

— If you chose fiat, then you will be redirected to a page with the bank information in which to send the cash contribution (minimum USD350), as well as a user ID to use as a reference, so we can match your contribution to your account.

Now you can go back to the Dashboard, where you’ll see where you should send the contributions, and where you will receive the SALs.

Once you send the contribution, you can check the little circle on the left of the line. Once we can see that your payment has been received, the status will change from Pending, to Confirmed.

If you’ve managed to do everything, you’re ready to participate in the SALPay sale and join us for our ICO! Congratulations!
