There’s money to be had, but writers and staff won’t see much of it
Writers and actors have much in common. A small percentage becomes famous and wealthy, a slightly larger percentage becomes almost famous and wealthy and the vast majority have day jobs. That’s because publishing is a business that depends on a low-cost supply of content to keep the pipeline filled. Actual profits come from the writers who consistently sell lots of product that is profitable for reasons other writers might find questionable.
