What is the source for this “information?” Using a fixed value of 2 cents is functionally meaningless (making margin of error irrelevant) because annual compensations varies by job from low tens of thousands to high hundreds of thousands. In terms of gross salaries, and not taking into account a variety of factors that can affect both compensation and benefits (including personal choices), the overall current differential is 22 percent.
