Your “Abode” Away From Home
Stepping into Saltimboca, you will be surprised to discover that it was originally a music bar. Tippi Cuaycong-Jalandoni, the inn manager, said that Saltimboca was formerly a music bar until her mother took the initiative of opening three rooms for rent in 2000.
Things started to skyrocket from there and so they eventually made the necessary teaks to the business. Incidentally, Saltimboca was a name they got from a Brazilian beverage which was given by a friend of Tippi’s mother for their music bar. As destiny would have it though, Saltimboca is a word that translates to “abode” in the Amazon language.
A Mix of European and Filipino Influences
Judging from its brilliant architecture and the furniture used, Saltimboca seems to be an impressive blend of Spanish, Portuguese, and traditional Filipino elements. Besides, they’ve got a lush garden with plenty of plants and trees. You’ll forget you are in the middle of a bustling city.
