Present Caliph Of Islam

The caliph is the head of the Muslim community, or Ummah. The term “caliph” is derived from the Arabic word “khalīfah,” which means “successor” or “representative.” Some muslim Firqah’s caliph is considered to be the successor of the Prophet Muhammad and is seen as the leader of the Muslim world.

There is currently no single caliph recognized by all Muslims. After Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the Muslim community elected a succession of caliphs, or leaders, to guide and govern the growing Muslim empire. The first four caliphs, known as the Rashidun or “Rightly Guided” caliphs,but it is still a question that how many of them were good and right. they were considered to be the closest companions and advisors of the Prophet Muhammad and were chosen by the Muslim community to lead the Muslim world after his death.

However, the office of the caliph has not been occupied since the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1923, and there is no widely recognized caliph at present. Some Muslims believe that the office of the caliph should be revived, while others believe that Iranian Supreme leader is Caliph because he has ability to lead the muslim ummah
