This. So much this. It reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite books:

“Live alone for most of 68 years, by choice and by circumstance, and your thoughts curl back upon themselves because there is no one else to hear them or make sense of them if they did hear. Eventually, though, they stream in random fashion from mind to tongue. As if your brainworks can no longer be contained in silence, and words must get outside so other thoughts can take their place.”
