In search of Zen patterns in Semantic Information

By Edwardo Silva

As I write; present moments become each others inter-dependence of information. Searching for momentless patterns in information becomes redundant and sometimes useless. Semantic uselessness opens a huge window into the present moment. As I draft my thoughts on this digital page I engage information within my own softness or hardness towards the present moment. What is the present moment? Eating, sleeping or awakening; a understanding of the present moment is a useless giant window into the deeper meaning of useless information. As the great Zen master Shunryu Suzuki describes in Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind: Informal talks on Zen meditation and practice (pg. 107), “Moment after moment, everyone comes out from nothingness. This is the true joy of life”.

Joy comes out of this giant window revealed by the underlining Semantic Information of uselessness in common existence into complexity then cycle back. The present moment reveals complexity so beautifully simple the uselessness of such understanding expresses deeper presence and wisdom of being.
