arrive
the journey
the process
the steps
the explanation
how you arrive at your destination matters most to your experience
so often, i found myself too focused on the end. i would catch myself looking in despair at my untouched mat, my blank document, or my empty notepad and calendar.
i felt unfulfilled. unaccomplished. dissatisfied.
until i remembered and realized, that for a time, my greatest expressions up to that point had been when i was both present and fully expressive in my moments, about the moments, about the ideas, about the thought flows.
for a period of time i had found a way to open the stream that had stagnated for years on end.
i’ve found that my fear of perfection is one that i have to meet everyday, with intention.
i can’t meet it simply with thought, or with plan and preparation.
i must also meet it with expression, awareness and action.
it must be met some distance from my goal yet in step with my current skill. i had to take hold of the tools at my grasp. to move forward with my current knowledge and access.
because getting there is where the action is.
arriving is where the magic happens.
once you’ve arrived, celebrate
revel in your success
and then begin again.
