You make a great point about age diversity in Silicon Valley. I remember seeing a graph of the average age of an employee at tech firms. I believe most companies had an average age of less than 35.

After speaking with the Head of Diversity at Atlassian (their headquarters are in Sydney but has offices in San Francisco and other cities around the world), I was extremely impressed with the transparency of their employee demographics.

Atlassian does break out their employee demographics by age group. It is on their website: www.atlassian.com/diversity.

I am not sure how many US-based tech companies would feel comfortable releasing the same set of employee demographics as Atlassian.

Kudos to Atlassian for setting the bar.
