Harmony and happiness are related, but:Harmony: Harmonia: Lit. Con-cord (Latin cor=heart). Harmonia, daughter of Ares (God of war) and Aphrodite (goddess of love). Harmonic: Greek: harmonious, skilled in music, a fitting together, joining, proportion, agreement, order, to join, proportion, harmos- joint. China: i- righteous, public: Wo and yang- sheep, wo- conflict- two spears attacking each other or (another version I have heard): two crossed spears. The two combatants have changed and have become lamb-like, concord is established- with the addition of yen- words- discussion in a fine way. Harmony: Bahasa (Indonesia): keselarasan- laras- equal, balanced, laras- the trigger of a pistol or gun; lara- sad, unhappy. Farsi: co-ordination. Vietnam: to match with, Hai hoa. Malaysia: balance, harmonious feelings. Japan: connected with “wa”- peace. Kannada (India), samadan, saman-equal.

According to ancient Chinese belief there is a profound interdependence inherent in all existence. Seeking harmony shows the Chinese traditional ideals of eternal peace and heavenly beauty. Two thousand years ago, a Chinese philosopher, Bo Shi, already remarked so beautifully: Harmony creates all things in the universe, while sameness cannot.” Both, wholeness is beauty and harmony is beauty.
