When I was new to this gratitude thing I had to keep a gratitude book, and write down the things I was grateful for. I had to spend time every day thinking them up and writing them down, because when I wasn’t grateful. which was most of the time, or when the world came at me sideways, which was a lot of the time, I just couldn’t think of anything. But then I could just break out the book, read through, and think “Oh yeah, that”.
I don’t have a book anymore, but I have a sister, and every year, around Thanksgiving, she posts on her Facebook page, 3 things a day that she is thankful for, for 7 days. And she triggers me, and a lot of other people, to do the same.
I am grateful for my sister.
