Govern By Gossip?
As most of us have noticed, Donald Trump tends to state “facts” without giving any credible sources. In fact, Donald Trump attempts to find out information from others, and gossips it back to us. Gregory Krieg points out some of the times Trump managed to tell us, the United States citizens, gossip rather than hard hitting facts. In 2015 when Trump attempted to propose building a wall, he tried to blame the Mexican government by stating that they were sending drugs, crime, and rapists into America. Pete Saenz, the mayor or Laredo, Texas, mentioned one time when Donald Trump questioned him about what was coming into America, but Saenz just told him that he was not aware of any of that. Trying to back himself up, Trump mentioned that he talks to border control. In addition to gossiping about the Mexican government sending in criminals, Trump lately has mentioned that over a million people were involved in voter fraud. His source? Bernhard Langer. Except, Langer explained that he never relayed any information to Trump, however a friend told him that he was denied access to vote. Then, Langer relayed that information to a friend, who told a government official. But in the end, why does it matter is there was voter fraud, he still won right?
It is evident that Trump favors using gossip as opposed to actually looking up facts, and using credible sources. This is proof that Trump is just lazy, and was unqualified to run for presidency to being with (although saying this, I do not think America will 100% crash and burn like others do). Maybe instead of worrying about the millions of fraudulent voters, Trump will realize he is now running a country and needs to bother properly learning about politics and world events.
