Five haiku, starring The Woolly Gentleman
This strange alarm clock—
foul, wet cloud, fogging my brain:
your stinky fish-breath.
.
Tiny elephant
on my chest purring madly:
2:30 a.m.
.
Your feet, my kidneys:
paws, pausing as your weight shifts —
Please move your fat butt.
.
A nightly ritual:
You, bathing next to my head,
stopping for breakfast.
.
Soft, sleeping creature
glowing in the noonday sun.
My turn now… Wake up!
