The author and surgeon Atul Gawande wrote “The gap between what we know and what we aim for persists. And this gap complicates everything we do.”
While I believe that he was writing about doctors and medicine, I believe that this also applies to those of us who are processing death and loss and our images of perfection in how one should act in that process. If we are doing our best at “being human”, here is no wrong.
