Bubbie Punches Her Ticket For the Afterlife
Gabe Kleinman

Gabe —

Thanks for such a beautiful and personal piece. As someone who has lost her mother, close friends, and has a father with illness — I wish you peace and healing.

The author and surgeon Atul Gawande wrote “The gap between what we know and what we aim for persists. And this gap complicates everything we do.”

While I believe that he was writing about doctors and medicine, I believe that this also applies to those of us who are processing death and loss and our images of perfection in how one should act in that process. If we are doing our best at “being human”, here is no wrong.
