We are thrilled to announce our first gaming partnership with Knights of Cathena — one of the most anticipated games being built on Elrond right now.
Knights of Cathena is a Play-And-Earn, turn-based strategy game built on Elrond. As a PvP multiplayer game, players use different wits and tactics to defeat opponents in action-packed battles. Players can create strategic formations and equip their fighters with powerful items (NFTs) to gain an overhand in battle and earn their share of Cathena Gold ($CGO).
Egld.gg and Knights of Cathena partnered up for the game’s closed alpha testing phase, starting on the 15th of June, 2022. As part of the initiative, egld.gg’s Genesis Members got exclusive access to the game and were able to experience the gameplay and some of its key features such as multiplayer battles, matchmaking and the in-game shop for the first time since the inception of the project.
The overarching goal of the test phase was to ensure a high level of quality feedback in a fixed amount of time with a diverse set of players. Our Genesis Members did exactly that. They had a direct channel of communication with the team, where players shared their experiences and improvement suggestions directly with the founders in order to progress the development of the game.
The egld.gg Genesis Members will be involved in further cycles of the Knights of Cathena testing phase, as well as have access to upcoming special initiatives, cool in-game opportunities, unique NFTs, and a lot more.

We have been very impressed with the team’s work and have no doubt that we will be working with them long term.
