Notes of Geek Recruter: 5 simple rules how to be recruiter but not a donkey.

Hello everyone, below I wrote my vision of daily work with candidates for recruiters.

There are simple steps after which your candidates can’t say that you are a donkey.

1. During the first conversation with candidates tell them about process of interview in your company and main steps. You need to spend time for this important step;

2. When you organize an interview a candidate needs to know the type and a main topic of the interview. You need to spend not more than 5–10 minutes for this step. As a result you will have a candidate who will understand what he can wait.

Don’t forget to tell a candidate: duration of an interview, place for an interview, people who will be on an interview, their names and positions;

3. After every interview please, remind a candidate about next step and tell about terms for feedback;

4. If during interview your candidate has make a task please tell it to a candidate before the interview;

5. It will be very cool if you send an electronical invitation to a candidate.
Important points for these: type of an interview, date and time, place for an interview or solution for an interview, if you use office for meeting, send an address of office to a candidate, person (his name and phone) who will meet a candidate.

If you organize an interview with few people before an interview you need to check if a candidate is available. This step is important if you are abstant during the interview.
