Believe in your Children
I was an underachiever and a high school dropout.
Childhood trauma and all the things in a low socio-economic scenario born in 1966. However, despite this, my mother always told me that I could do anything that I put my mind to.
Little did I know the power of those words.
I believed what she told me and eventually, it worked for me. Becoming a Photographer Joining the Army and then going on to owning a Company with a friend.
I know it could have been very different if the belief had not been instilled from my mother’s words.
My message here really is tell your children that they can do whatever they put their mind to!
Even if you do not believe in whatever they are doing support them and be there for them. It makes a lot of difference to them and once you are gone it will be one of the main memories for them later on in life when they really understand. I know it is for me despite a lot of trauma (not by my mothers doing).
I am a father of two amazing young adult children, and I pass my own belief in my kids and try to instill a certain level of self belief.
