Good points but the same could be said about any company or about yours — telerik. What if your mobile platform is not profitable or doesn’t generate as much revenue as other parts of your business? You will probably shut it down too. This is just a risk that one has to take whenever you depend on a third party tool/platform/service.
I would have never guessed parse would be shut down and would have put it as an extremely low risk for any of my projects but what can I say — shit happens.
It sucks but It’s still great that they open sourced it and gave developers enough time and a migration path. Much better than what other companies have done in the past.
