20 Years Ago Today

Remember the parallel experience of not being impressed with what existed at the start. I’d been online since 1983 — communicating with the firms I worked for/represented, tech support, selling. On my own time I had several favorite BBS for communication, debate, discussion. First few days peering around the Web were as expected. Not enough/interesting content.

That changed, soon. That changed, rapidly. Then, the dialectic rush of hardware and software battling to ramp up detail and lots and lots of content.

Cripes, just noticed you’re a cyclocross nerd. Still have my CAMPAG license plate somewhere from the decades I spent in wholesale side of cycle-sport, riding, touring, coaching kids side of the 2-wheel sport. Allez, allez!
