Lump In My Throat

I can’t indulge in too many sweets
With this recurring consequence.
When I always stay up late at night
It grows stronger in prominence.

Then it takes all of my energy.
It gives me headache, cough, and cold.
Tried to act normal or feeling numb
Because things cannot just unfold.

This lump in my throat, a reminder
Of my ill heart and dying soul.
It goes up and down, it comes and hides,
Drills flesh in my heart beyond control.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
