This Time I Live
I see now so I'll keep these eyes closed
Away from the haunting lies of tomorrow.
I believe I can walk through this narrow road
And yes, with faith that isn't borrowed.
I can see now, I can't walk alone
And I can't stay stocked up waiting for the dawn.
This lamp on my feet is all I own,
The very thing I need from here and thereon.
I can see now that I’m meant to live
And this time I will find meaning, I believe.
I hope greatly of what God will give,
Something more than my finite mind can conceive.
