This podcast is an origin story (like discovering the origin of Superman or Wonderwoman) except its for a wondrous startup called Splacer.

Getting a startup off the ground is not easy. In 2014, when Lihi Gerstner and her Splacer co-founder Adi Biran, two architects living and teaching in Tel Aviv, had a vision of building an online marketplace that enabled people all over the world to delight in renting venues for events in unique spaces they never previously had access to, (similar to the shared economy app Airbnb except you rent a space to hold an event) they had no technical background to build it.

Now in 2017, Splacer has received over $1.4 million in investment, is operating in 4 cities with thousands of venues available for rent (from rooftop apartments to brewery floors to churches) and is experiencing tremendous growth year to year. Listen to Lihi share how she and her team created an up and coming superstar in the world of shared economy startups.
