Ever heard of Neuralink?

It’s really cool! :-)

What Elon Musk wants to do

Many of us are afraid of Artificial Intelligence. What will we do if it overpowers us? How do we compete? Elon Musk’s plan is Neuralink.

Basically, Elon Musk wants to inject a thin, mesh-like lace to create another layer of our brain. An injection. Yeah, I know, sounds a little scary. But hear me out here! This lace is basically a very thin version of an EGG cap or device that measures brainwaves. This could potentially cure those with paralysis!

What could this do?

So far, we aren’t really sure what this new technology might be able to do. Right now, the possibilities are endless! Some speculators believe that we might be able to download information into our brains. This would mean being able to share experiences as if we were the ones who did them! This might also mean being able to search the web without having to look at a device. Perhaps Neuralink could go the other way — — a computer to brain interface! Imagine learning a skill like in The Matrix! (I know Kung-Fu-)

Final thoughts

Although this new technology is cool, we have to look at the darker side. Is it dangerous merging humans with computers and maybe other humans? Is it ethical to synthetically evolve ourselves? Will our meaning of human change? What will be of individuality? Despite these possible downsides, it’s inevitable that this technology could become part of our daily life.
