I’m only writing this so I can buy a Benz
And then I’m going to post it on Instagram
Why? What makes you want to work for yourself? Struggling, working more hours for way less money, being misunderstood, sometimes broke and stressed sound good to you? Why do you do what you do? Or, why do you want to do what you haven’t done yet?
Ever ask yourself, why am I doing this? On the other hand, every feel like your moving just to move, being busy because you feel like you should be busy?
I’ve been meditating lately, I use headspace.com sometimes, other times, I listen to Bob Proctor’s abundance meditation. I practice meditation to slow down, to reflect so I can make decisions from a calm, centered, thought out place.
Since incorporating meditation into my daily practice, it has me asking the question why a lot more. And then, I ask why again, and again. Now that I think about it, I may have gotten this tactic from my daughter. But in addition to my daughter testing my knowledge asking asking me why, I’ve also been reading that asking why up to 7 times can really get to the actual root of a situation.
With something as precious, important and time-consuming as starting a business, a big question is why do you want to start? And asking why to that answer and why that answer and on and on. This can feel and sound weird while answering these questions but after about the third and fourth answer it starts to get pretty interesting. The answers to multiple why’s bring out truths we may not have even known. That truth may not be what we expected or even what we hoped for but it does provide some vicious clarity.
I found out why I write and design. I write and design to help people do what they have been thinking about but didn’t quite push the go button. I love pushing people to start their business, and I load them with possibilities, apps, resources, and encouragement. I absolutely love it.
Why? Because helping people achieve a dream they have is great.
Why? Providing answers to questions people have is satisfying for me and my clients and friends.
Why? Having the answer to a problem is a rewarding feeling that is mutually beneficial and I take pride in how what I know can totally transform someone else’s business or view point.
Why? Keeping what I know to myself is a disservice to people I could be sharing with. Withholding what I know is a disservice to myself.
Why? You get in this life what you are, its the law of attraction. I’d rather attract positive, helpful, energetic people in my life by embracing those characteristics myself.
These are the reasons why I write and design with the entrepreneur in mind, not to buy a Benz but to be a source of help and encouragement to others, but I will buy a Cadillac.
