What’s love got to do with business?

Love and business seem to be two irrelevant terms. Well, they are not. They are highly correlated.

Another thing that I realized at Tai Lopez’s house after taking the Dark Triad personality test (everyone should take it!) is the following:

  • I am not able to see the world through my customers’ eyes
  • I focus on my own interest rather than my customers’

This is huge news, right? Yes, it is! This prevents me from fulfilling my potential as an entrepreneur, because it leaves me with customers whose expectations are lower, who are okay with me being a little self-centered.

That’s why self-awareness is the most important aspect of doing business, that’s why you need to recognize your strengths and start working on them right away.

When I came back from Los Angeles, I immediately changed my business plan, and started something that will be far more useful for my customer base. I started to feel like I love my customers, and not because they are paying me, but because loving them is a pre-requisite to take significant action to start helping them. Empathy is key to perfect service.

And now the business will thrive, I’m sure. I also was able to dream a better way of growing my business, which also has been another weakness of mine, possibly because of the same reason. Now I think big, dream more, and take bolder steps.

Take the test, please. Don’t act like you know yourself well, because you don’t. With all these physchological biases we all have, it’s almost impossible to be completely be self aware. And there’s no way you can grow unless you fix your weaknesses, at least to a certain extend.
